The Perfect Fudge Recipe

Fudge! That chocolately, nutty treat we will drop everything to buy or attempt to make ourselves, but sometimes making such an amazing treat can be extremely expensive. But today I’m here to share a recipe for amazing fluffy and rich homemade fudge that costs under 20 bucks to make.

Here’s what you need:

* 3 cups of sugar
* 1 can of evaporated milk
* 3/4 cup of butter ( softened )
* 1 jar of marshmallow puff ( 7 oz )
* 1 tsp of vanilla
* 3 bags of semi sweet chocolate chips
* 1 bag of shelled walnuts

In a large pot, bring the sugar, butter and evaporated milk to a complete boil while stirring often. Once it has been boiling for about 6 minutes max, take the pot off the heat and add the marshmallow puff and chocolate chips and stir in until completely melted. Then add the vanilla and walnuts and stir in for about a minute.

Take out a 13×9 inch pan and line the inside with aluminum foil and pour your fudge mix into the pan then hit the bottom of it on the counter to get it even across the pan. Place in the freezer for 3 hours then cut and serve!

The Perfect Lamb Steak

Being a fan of juicy, tender, perfectly cooked meat, there’s one type of meat that can either go great or horribly wrong just through your method, I’m talking about Lamb, a meat with an intense flavor all on its own and really has to be done a certain way to make sure it turns out just the way you want it to. Today I will be telling you how to cook a perfect piece of Lamb in the comfort of your own home.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 Lamb Leg Steaks
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped rosemary
  • 1/3 cup of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 fresh rosemary stems
  • 4 tablespoons of softened butter
  • 2 tablespoons of minced finely chopped garlic

Instructions:

Wash off the two lamb steaks with cold water and place on a clean plate, then brush with the Worcestershire sauce on both sides and season with the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, chopped rosemary and sea salt on both sides and broil in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the steaks are a medium brown color.

Take out of the oven and let rest for 5 minutes then place in a medium skillet with the softened butter and minced garlic, occasionally spooning the garlic butter mixture on top for about 3 to 5 minutes. Take off the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes, decorating them with the fresh rosemary stems.

Crispy chicken, Shrimp & Broccoli Alfredo Pasta Bake

20170628_104020Nothing screams comfort food quite like a tasty Alfredo sauce on top of a delicious entree and while some believe Alfredo sauce in a can can be savory and delicious, it often lacks in that fresh ingredient, homemade quality so here today, I will walk you through step by step on how to make a perfect homemade Alfredo sauce and a comforting casserole to pair it with.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup of Romano cheese
  • 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese
  • 2 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped basil
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 tablespoon of a crush garlic clove
  • 3 individual chicken breasts
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 2 cups of panko bread crumbs
  • 1.5 LB of rotini pasta or elbow pasta
  • 1 head of broccoli cut into smaller pieces
  • 1 bag of frozen small shrimps ( 44 – 60 CT )
  • 1/3 cup of soften butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper

Oven fried chicken recipe instructions:

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

Mix the eggs and oil together in a medium size bowl and pour the panko breadcrumbs into another bowl. Bring out a large pan and cover it with parchment paper and set aside, dip each chicken breast into the egg oil mixture then coat with panko breadcrumbs and place onto the pan then place in the oven and cook for 20 to 25 minutes. At the same time, cook the pasta on high for 7 to 10 minutes.

Alfredo sauce instructions:

Heat a medium size sauce pan, pour in the heavy cream, heat until it starts to bubble then place the three cheeses, black pepper, sea salt, basil, cilantro, and garlic and whisk together slowly for about three minutes then turn off the heat and place a lid on it to keep it warm.

Cut the broccoli head into smaller pieces and steam cook them then mix it in with the pasta once it is completely cooked.

 

Shrimp instructions:

Take out a large skillet and heat on a high fire, place 1/3 cup of butter, shrimps, black pepper and garlic powder and cook for about 5 to 8 minutes then once they are completely pink, take out and mix in with the pasta as well.

Once the chicken is done, take out and let it cool for 5 minutes then place on a cutting board and cut into slices and set aside. Keep the oven on.

Bring out a casserole pan and spray with nonstick spray then take half the chicken slices and arrange them at the bottom of the pan then place the pasta, broccoli and shrimp mix into the pan, then arrange the rest of the chicken slices on top and pour the sauce onto the top of the pan and place in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until the top browns a little. Take out, let it cool off then enjoy! Pair this meal with a glass of white wine and bread sticks for an italian feeling to your dining room!

Turkey Patty Melt Sandwiches With Homemade Cajun Fries

20170627_144029One thing anyone can tell you about what they like to eat at anytime is a good sandwich and perfectly crispy fries. Some of us think that going through a restaurant drive through window or making them yourself bathing in a pot of hot oil and all of that is good and all but that isn’t good for you and there are better ways to make a good old sandwich and great fries. Today this recipe will show you how to make a great sandwich fries pairing in the comfort of your own home!

What you’ll need…

  • 4 slices of toasted rye bread
  • One white onion sliced and sauteed
  • 1 LB of ground turkey meat
  • 2 teaspoons of sea salt
  • 2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 6 to 8 potatoes cut straight down or in wedges
  • 2 tablespoons of avocado and sunflower oil
  • 3 tablespoons of cajun powder

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to broil

Cut your six to eight potatoes into the shape you desire and place onto a large pan covered in tinfoil then drizzle the oil onto the top of the fries and cook for about 10 to 13 minutes.

In a medium non stick skillet, sauteed your onion slices in a small amount of water or 1 tablespoon of butter to brown them slightly then set aside.

In a large bowl, take your ground turkey meat and season the raw meat with sea salt and pepper then make them into patties then cook inside a non stick skillet and cook on each side until they are medium well or well done.

Take your slices of rye bread, spread mayo or your preferred spread onto it, toast them on each side on high heat for about 30 seconds then side aside.

Layout your bread, put the turkey patty, white cheddar cheese slice, onions then another turkey slice and another cheese slice then put the sandwich in the oven for 15 to 25 seconds to melt the cheese then take out and plate.

Take the fries out of the oven and place in a bowl, mix the cajun powder in the bowl and toss around with the fries then plate.

Now cut your patty melt in half and enjoy!
